Elizabeth I (Giblin) Slater

Elizabeth I. (Giblin) Slater, 90, passed away peacefully at home on September 24, 2016.  She was predeceased by her parents Robert and Mabel Giblin; sons Gerald, Patrick, Raymond; daughter Marjorie Slater Chase; brother John Giblin; and sister Beatrice Giblin Shannahan.   She is survived by her daughter Patricia Pratt; son and daughter-in-law David and Sandra Slater; brother Robert (Judy) Giblin; daughter-in-laws Cynthia Slater, Rita Slater Kam; grandchildren Brenda (Mark) Swindler, Joseph Mangino, Marie Mangino, Tracey (David Gow Jr. ) Slater, Daniel (Jaclyn Greblick ) Slater, Kerri (James Ramey) Slater, Christopher (Trina) Slater, Sherri Slater, Candace Jacobs, Grace, Carla, and Rosemary Chase; also several great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.   She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother who will be sadly missed.  The family would like to give a special thank you to her great granddaughters Ashley Miller and Danielle Veninsky for assisting in her care.  The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 29, 2016 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the THOMAS J. SHEA FUNERAL HOME, INC.  137 Robinson St. Binghamton, NY.  Funeral Services will be held at 9:15 a.m. at the funeral home on Friday, a Funeral Mass will follow at 10 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Hillcrest.  Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
