Thomas Hardie

Thomas F. Hardie 75, of Kirkwood took his final journey on May 19, 2017 where he was re-united with his parents, Francis J. and Florence M. Hardie and his love Mary Jason. Tom was known by many names throughout his life. Brother to Joseph (Wendy) and Jack Hardie, Uncle Tom to their children. Grampa Tom to Gavin, Brock, Curtis, Jasmine, Ariel, and Savannah. Friend to Carl, Carl, Jimmy S. Serenia and Debbie. Tom was never called dad but he did his best to fill that role as needed for Sean, Mike, Kathy, Amy and Yulona. Offering advice, encouragement or a shoulder to lean on. Tom was called student at Seton catholic High School. He was then called sailor upon entering the US Navy. Tom spent many years traveling with Mary. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, playing craps at different casinos and watching his Yankees. Tom had two fur faced friends Sadie and Sophia that he would invite into his room for some puppy treats. Tom was a kind and generous man who could always be relied upon to  lend a hand to a kid that needed a ride or a few bucks to a friend in need. Tom was loved....
A special thank you goes out to the staff on 4B at Bridgewater Nursing Home for their loving care they provided to Tom during the last few weeks of his life. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Ambrose Church in Endicott June 24, 201 at 8:30am.
