Susie Mion

Susie Mion 106, of Binghamton, went to be with the lord on August 29, 2015. She is predeceased by her husband Lino Mion; daughter in-law Barbara Mion; great-granddaughter Erin Phelps; grandson in-law Bob Schaffer. She is survived by her sons Robert Mion and Lino (Antoinette) Mion; 9 grandchildren and their spouses; 15 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. Susie was very active in the community. She was an avid golfer who had a hole-in-one at age 70, went on a motorcycle ride at 90 and at 103 she rode the ski lift to the highest peak at Jiminy Peak Ski Resort. She was a lifelong member of St. Mary of the Assumption and past president of the Sons of Italy Silver Star Lodge, as well as the oldest member. Her family meant everything to her, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she will be dearly missed by all. Visitation will be held on Wednesday at the THOMAS J. SHEA Funeral Home Inc. 137 Robinson St. Binghamton, NY from 4 until 7pm. Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday at 8:45am at the Funeral Home and Continue at St. Mary of the Assumption Church at 9:30am. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
