John Di Menna

John Di Menna 90, of Binghamton, passed away on November 28, 2016. He is predeceased by his beloved wife Phyllis (Yezzi); brother Camillo; sister Maria; and parents Oscar Di Menna and Gigina (Sulpizio) Di Menna. He is survived by sister Gioconda Santoferrara of Bucchianico, Italy; sister in-law Mary (Yezzi)DeSisto; daughter Carla Thompson; son and daughter in-law Dr. John and Eve Di Menna; 5 grandchildren David (Erin)  Di Menna; Sarah (David) Little; Michael Thompson, Julie (Kevin) Hall, Eleanor Thompson; 2 great-grandchildren Anthony and Emma Little (and a new Hall on the way); Bernadette and Romeo Lisio; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends;  He is a member and past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus and parishioner of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church. Lifelong devotion to Saint Camillo de Lellis, patron of his hometown Bucchianico, Italy. He was a barber since the age of 15 and worked until his 89th year. John came to the USA in 1952 though Ellis Island. The family wishes to thank the staff of Good Shepherd Fairview Home for their care and kindness.  Visitation will be held on Friday from 2 until 4 and 7 until 9 pm at the THOMAS J. SHEA Funeral Home Inc. 137 Robinson St. Binghamton, NY 13904. Visitation will also be held on Saturday from 9 until 9:30am at St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Binghamton, A Funeral Mass will follow at 9:30am. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Memorial Donations may be made to the Lourdes Hospital Foundation in John’s memory. Arrangements are being handled by Albert J. DeMarco.
