George G. Gabriel

On February 8, 2017 George G. Gabriel Sr. went home to be with the Lord and his family.  He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years Shirley; children Debra (Ted) Fey, Delores Bowman, George Gabriel Jr., John Gabriel, Theresa Maciotok, Dan (Tammie) Gabriel, Robert Sterling, Carlton Sterling, Heidi Hartvigsen, Mark Sterling, "Good Boy" Dakota and loving granddaughter Sabrina and several other  grandchildren; great grandchildren as well as many other family members.  George joined the US Marine Corp immediately after graduating from Vestal High School.  He worked as electrician and contractor, enjoyed playing cards at the Sons of Italy, a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 357 Halstead, and a charter member of the Endless Mountain Marine Corp League.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and will be greatly missed by all.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 from Noon until 1pm at the THOMAS J. SHEA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 137 Robinson St. Binghamton.  A Funeral Service will follow 1pm at the Funeral Home with Military Honors.
