Dorothy Colton

Dorothy M. Colton 91, of Kirkwood, passed away peacefully at home on April 16, 2017. She is predeceased by her husband Rudy G. Colton; parents Andrew and Anna Novak; eight sisters, Mary Rusnak, Margaret and Betty Dobbo, Anne Troise, Martha Novak, Agnes Boyd and infants, Sophie and Anne Novak, and four brothers, John, Andrew, Joseph, and George Novak. She is survived by children Lisa Colton, Lori Gregory, Scott (Donna) Colton; grandchildren Jennie (Robert) Van Gorder, Kyle Gregory, Alana Gregory, Caitlyn Colton; as well as many nieces and nephews and great friends. Dorothy was extremely proud of her roots in Hawk Run, PA. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, line dancing, shopping at Boscov’s and going to lunch with her friends.  She loved her grandchildren and was very devoted to her family. She will be dearly missed by all. Visitation will be held on Thursday at the THOMAS J. SHEA Funeral Home Inc. 137 Robinson St. Binghamton, NY 13904 from 4 until 7pm. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Friday at 10am at St. Mary’s Church in Kirkwood, NY. Burial will follow in Chenango Valley Cemetery. Memorial Donations may be made in Dorothy’s memory to St. Mary’s Church in Kirkwood.
